Probably because of its geological situation,
it is quite cool and comfortable in the morning.
The fresh breeze woke me up at 8`o clock which is too early for Spain.
I had a traditonal spanish "desayuno" and a nice talk with Isabelle`s Mom.
After the perfect breakfast, I took a bus from Ondaretta to the city centre.
The streets were empty and quite. People hadn`t woken up from the crazy party yet.
Following the map, I wandered in the labyrinth-like paths in the ancient town area of Donostia .
I decided to climb up the small hill which was situated by the old castle and canons.

It took 10 to 15 minutes to get there. The scenenary is really spectacular.
You can see the sbeautiful shape of La Playa de la concha and the gold shinning beach.

J`arrive~~Donostia~~
After several hours on the autoroute, I arrived at San Sebastian, the most beautiful basque town.
Unfortunately, it was not that easy to find my pension since the map I had wasn`t good enough. I tried
to use the bloody phone which you have to put 60 cents in advance. I called Isabelle who is the host of
the pension and she said she had given me the wrong address. So, I was told to go to another place which belongs
to her mother and I have to get there by taxi. I jumped on the taxi and tried to tell him I can`t speak Spanish
and I don`t know the exact place I was going. All I have was a vague address avec une grande mere etrangee.
The old lady is quite nice. She gave me the keys and asked me not to bring any other people back. My room was only allowed for one person.
She also told me I could have a map from her daughter`s place if I need one. She kindly explained how to go to her daughter`s place and she said
when I got there just shout "Mapa!!" on the answer machine.
The most interesting thing was she said everything in Spainsh and I understood perfectly.
As the evening approaching, the party-phenonment was gradually emerged on the street. There were more and more people hanging around.
I took a bus from Ondarreta to the Parte Vieja which costs only 0.95 euro. There were plenty of pensions and restaurants.
Some artists were playing some interesting instruments on the street and some were just singing. There seemed to be some kind of juvenile camping tours, therefore
teenagers were almost everywhere.
I was guieded to a net-cafe which is said to be owned by the kindest person in the world by my "Allons". I wrote Itizia who, is a friend of Gonzalo`s sister, to
tell her that I arrived safely but desperatly hungry. Hope she would reply and introduce me something cool here.
The first dinner wasn`t easy.
Since it was the first day here, I have been too shy to eat in a resturant which was full of people. I tried to find some decent and quiet place to eat but I failed.
It was 9 o`clock and I was bloody hungry. But, I was determined. I would not go to McDonald`s. I was very determined to have some pasta and cerveza for dinner.
After an hour struggling desperately, I found a restaurant which was not full.
{###_marco1215/3/1121199895.jpg_###}
"Tortilla~~" ,was probably the only word occured in my mind. The waitress was very kind and she asked me if I needed anything else but in Spanish.
I magically understood as I had understood what Isabelle`s mom talking about.
It was a long and tiring day. I came from Bilbao to San Sebastian.

Bilbao, The adventure of Nord
It was a gloomy morning in Bilbao.
07:30.
I arrived with my small backpack which didn`t carry enough clothes because it was 37℃ in Madrid.
Malheusement, il faisait environ 18℃ ce matin.
I buried my hands in the pocket and tried to walk as fast as I could.
Pas de petit dejeuner, the only thing I had was a half-pack of chocolate and a half-bottle of Vittel.
Having Squirmed uncomforttably last night, I slept on the couch and woke up every 2 hours in drowsiness.
I was worried about catching a flu because the train was disastrously freezing. I put on all of my clothes which were another T-shirt and a pair of long pants.
I wrapped my neck with the small towel and I almost cut the curtain to make myself a bed.
Around 2 a.m, I was lying on the armchair alone with my eyes half-open. There was an old man standing outside
the gate carrying a suitcase which looks like the one a surgeon would have. It was a little bit creepy in the first place,
but I found out he was a good old man after he taught me how to adjust the armchair into a flat couch.
All in all, I ended up tossing and turning with a strange old man the first night in Spain.
If my memory was correct, I bought a preference ticket for the train which cost more than 100 euro without the discount from Europass.
Since El Corte Ingles hasn`t opened yet, I walked to Casco Viejo. Passing Plaza Nueva, the flagstone-made street was so quiet and peaceful.
After a few minutes promenade, I found myself in front of Catedral Santiago.
Having visited the old town, I turned to Guggengeim Museum directly. It was a quite long walk from the central town.
The street was clean and tranquil although there were some people rushing to their work.
I enjoyed the moment exploring the city with my "Let`s Go" in my hand and my camera on my chest.
Soon, the famous puppy of Guggemheim appeared.
Frank Gehry`s Guggenheim Museum, its elegenatly shining curves perfectly embodying the spiri of the new Bilbao, has powerfully
nourished the city`s prosperity to international prominence. The wavy shapes and flowing forms of the building are undoubtedly the most attractive.
With titanium sheath, it is said to be imagined as a iridescent fish.
